Shoe Shopping for WDP '04 AT
Previously had 19" Jaz Trinity (axis milano 5 star style). In horrible shape, tons of those balancing strips on all 4 and still sucks. The clear coat of the lip on one has almost flaked off completely, the corrosion leaves it looking like its covered in dirt. To top it off, one tire has a huge hole on the sidewall. Been driving with stock w/ blizzacks on the rear. So it is time.
Things I will ultimately have done probably later before sooner. I will going for the black/white theme. Smoked headlights and 07-08 base smoked tails. Replace chrome window tints to smoked. What do think of my option so far.
-----------------------------
XXR-006 Black or Gunmetal. Gunmetal looks pretty much black to me.
Obviously the black spokes to go with the theme. Mixed feelings on these. Hard to imagine whether these will look good and go well with the black/white or if it'll add too much black bring it a too over-the-top with the theme.
For this look I wasn't set on these specific wheels. The wheel design can be a little different. Just needs to have semi-deep lip, alloy color and black/dark spokes.

Flirting with the idea of a mesh style. Love the deep lips. I don't know though, too much going on? Too busy of a look? Too ricey?
------------------
Varrstoen ES222 - hyper black - 19x9.5
Easy for me to fall in love with these. I've always been a bigger fan of less but bigger thicker spokes on sedans and especially on the 3g. I loved my Jaz Trinity style 5 stars. These have some elements that I liked about the Trinity, and enough difference to not feel like I'm getting too similar a style.
I also thought that these would be a good contrast to the whole black/white theme, so it doesn't look overdone. Lip not as deep as I like but I rarely see similar styles that does. These only come with the highest offset of 22. Not sure what tire size I would need for all around.
Biggest problem with WDP is so many wheel styles and color can look good with it, its hard to choose. Sighhhh, decisions decisions. What do you guys think???

For fitment & tires, is that +22 going to fit w/o looking funny? Always thought we had to go with something in b/t the 35-45 range for our 3Gs. I have an AT & not dropped.
Also for tires, what are the range of sizes that would work for 19x9.5 wide. I ask because I still have 3 (2 1/2) tires, 2 of which still have quite a bit of tread left. they are 245/35ZR19. They were on 19x8.5.
Hoping I would be able to save a few hundred and re-use a pair for the rear. My gut feeling tells me likely not viable.

go with the Varrstoen
+22 will be fine people have gone much more aggressive. im at -1 in the rear right now lol you should def drop the car though. once you drop the car you might need a fender roll or some negative camber depending on how low you go.
as far as tires go a 245 is fine on a 9.5. thats not much of a stretch if any.

wow such a one sided battle. Good to know there are others that share my suspicions about the black wheels looking overdone. I like them, also like the meshes too but I felt a little wishy washy about the both of them.
I gotta give shout to Nuhbe3zy. It was his thread and the guys posting their cars on there that really sparked inspiration. Man I can't wait!
