Saw those spinning chrome rims today!!!!!!

i was walkin to my car in my local village this morning to get my morning coffee and do my eyes deceive me!? but i see a black E55 pull up to a spot down the street. and pulls into a spot rather quickly, and so the wheels still had momentum, and the inner wheel was still spinning when the car was at a complete stop!!! it was the hottest thing ive ever seen! how much do these things cost?

So does the inner wheel thingy eventually slow down and stop? And how fast does the inner wheel spin?

i dunno how fast the inner wheel spins but i know its just loose from the rest of the wheel...so it travels on momentum. they just spin freely but yeah, eventually they will stop.

I wonder if after time you have to take the wheel apart to clean the bearings the let the wheel spin. I would think that eventually dust or dirt would find their way in.

exactly....have seen them a couple of times. in my opinion it just looks stupid when someone is sitting at a light and his rims are still spinning. that is just my opinion though. and even though they are on nice cars i still think the rims are some ghetto ass ish.

i dont think they're ghetto at all. they do stop but it takes awhile to stop. they spin really easy.. they spin by the momentum of the car moving. when my neighbor came home from somewhere and me and my dad were doing the lawn, he asked me if there was a battery that controlled the spin LOL

if i hit the lotto, thats whats going on my bently

i really don't care for them to be honest. just seems sorta cheesy.

I couldn't tell that that was a plastic cover...Seriously! Look at it....It gave the appearance that the rim was spinning so fast that the spinning part had a reflection...
