S55 owners chime in

Peoples, a buddy of mine is selling me his Sevas S55 for 600 with tires but I have issues with the Sevas brand. I had a set of s22's only to have one crack at the rivets after hitting a brutal pothole.

My question for you s55 owners is: Have any of you had any problems with your rims?

I would say to steer clear of any Sevas wheels for a while! It's not worth putting your safety at risk

I've only "heard" of them blowing up too. I was in seriously in the market for them about a year ago, and Derrick from D2 autosports told me they stopped selling Sevas b/c of shotty manufacturing of their wheels. But I'm not speaking from experience.

The main issue were with the S22's mostly...

I personally had the S55 on my car for a year... No problem... then I sold them to a friend and he had them for about a 7 months.... then he sold them to another friend and he had them for 6 months.... then he sold them to another person and they are currently rolling around as we speak.... That's my personal experience...

have fun...

Personally, I think Sevas are crap, regardless of which wheel you get. To me, they were just another fly-by-night company that spent a lot on marketing. No one had heard of them five years ago, and no one will hear of them five years from now. I'm not saying a start-up can't be legit, but the chances of one that spends heavily on marketing and becoming trendy being legit is very slim. Good companies spend their money on R&D, and the people find them on their own.
