RonJon Inspyre vs. Acura A-Specs

Anyone know how much the a-specs weigh? I believe there was some sort of thread on it...27.4lbs each wheel for the a-specs? Ron told me the 8.5 patterns weighed about 27lbs each...black raven; those they 19s right?
I'm assuming both of these are without wheels? Heavier rims = a slower car???

thanks,

The weights are for just the rim. Yes, heavier rims=slower car. You probably wouldn't notice it but who knows. For an 18 inch rim, 27 pounds is pretty heavy. If you don't mind a slightly harsher ride then go for the 19 inch inspyres, but beware of potholes.

Inspyres are pure sex.

The rule of thumb drag racers use is 5 lbs of wheel weight (per wheel) = 200 lbs or 1/10th second in the 1/4 mile. A heavier wheel also increases unsprung weight, which affects steering response and turn in.

dude thanks man! appreciate you weighing your wheels for me!!! i just bought a pair...decided to go with the 18 a-specs for the sake of the ride...............
also figured: since i'm already riding pretty low, the 19s may not fit, but in fact need a raise? eh well...a-specs look SICK! hahai'm happy with my purchase...

are you looking for rims or suspension? there are often both listed on ebay, and from time to time they pop up in the black market
