Rim options and general info.

Hi guys. I am looking to get some rims for my SSM in about 2 months and I have been searching around for what I like and what looks the best for me. I still have time and I don't wanna rush into getting rims I will regret getting. So now I am asking you, people who know, what you think about these choices.

I was wondering what the lip size would be on the wheels with the lip and how would these work with the offsets shown. Also which ones would look the best in your opinions. Also if you have any other ideas I may have overlooked it would be greatly appreciated. I also don't have too much money to spend on wheels and tires so...

Axis Penta look nice. So does the Privat Reserv-looks like a T1S Work Varianza.

Check out Privat Netz, a couple guys have them and they look great for the $$$.
One of the best bang for the buck on a TL IMO.

I recently found a place called wheeldude and they have the Linea Corse Dyna that looks like the Varianza TIS. The price is cheaper and can save you some $$$ if you're not too picky. I am actually looking at ordering one. Go to Wheeldude.com or just google Linea Corse Dyna Wheels. Good luck!!

Look for Zoeb and he will help you. I ordered mine and will take up to 3 months since it's customized. I decided to go for non-staggered with 40 offset since I will only be using it for daily driving. I have 3 months before I replace my tires so it will be perfect timing.

^ yes I did research but I still need some clarification. 40mm offset I am not too sure about clearing the breaks. I am thinking I would need some spacers, 5mm maybe but this is the first set or rims I will be buying so I wanna make sure. I think that 8.5" wide and 35 offset like the penta will work fine but I also want to lower my car on some springs so 1"-2" lower so also they cant rub either. I am also willing to roll the fenders if necessary

Pentas won't clear the BBk unless you use spacers. The only wheels from Axis that clear the BBK are Axis Shine and Axis Hiro.

ok so what is the offset that I need to clear the breaks. Then what is the offset I will need with those and the rest of the wheels I have chosen. I am asking so I would know what spacers to get. What is the offset on the stock wheels that clears the breaks?

New here... just purchased a 05 6MT. I plan on getting new wheels and tires for the summer. I can't believe we only have 10 wheels to pick from that will clear the caliper. Is BBK short for Brembo Brake Kit??? Do you know what brand/style will fit and if they come in gunmetal? A lot of web sites show they have a ton of options that would fit, but I assume they are wrong. Thanks!

^ it means just kidding as in, its a joke, so you don't have to sound like an asshole next time you respond to a post. And I don't mind that you asked your question here, it's ment to help people. I was just asking a specific fitment questions about specific wheels I posted up there, not just general stuff like you (you didn't search did you?). But I don't care really if you posted it here or made a new thread. hope you get your answer

Sorry about that myron. I just got out of jail so I am little on the edge still... plus I am new to this forum/thread interaction deal. Not 100% sure about the rules or how in the hell this all works. I thought it was a communication line for people to B.S. about the same kind of ride. I am looking for the same information you are about rims... brand, size, and fit. Before I went in I had a 2005 BMW 330i coupe and never had trouble finding rims... I can't say the same for this Acura TL.

yea its ok, this forum is a little slow around holidays and I really wanna know what I am asking about so I am a little pissed off this is taking too long. usually its fast and people are more active. Yea TL is a little hard to find rims for. big breaks and high offsets=bad luck with rims, but there are alot of people that have amazing rides here with amazing rims. use the search button in the top right corner or you are gonna get flamed (same for every car forum really). Why did you go in and what happened to the 330? Those are nice cars I must say, I like BMW even tho I drive a honda hah a

For some BS drug charges... 330 was seized by the police and sold at an auction last summer. That is all behind me now. See you around the forum.

DIDNT wanna start a new thread so I will just bump this one

Does someone have these wheels on their car? They are machined/black so the face is machined but it still looks dark. They are 18x8" and 45mm offset and I can get them for cheap and they are brand new. So the question is can they fit?
Stillhere help man I know you know this one

Well the wheels wont fit without some fat spacers. Fuck these brakes make me mad sometimes.

I originally liked these reserves but now I have mixed feelings about them. I dont know why. Maybe beacuse the spokes are so thin

no man I was talking about the Tenzo wheels I posted after. they dont fit, or so the shop says. They also have the same wheel in 25mm offset but are unsure if they will fit, or if they will poke out too much.

In addition to clearing BBK, can all your wheels be fitted with the oem TPMS sensor?

^ don't worry about the hijack, I was even joking with the other guy before. he just didn't understand it.

Out of the whole line up of RonJon wheels I only like Devotion and they are 790$/wheel and thats US. Shipped to me thats about $4500 CDN plus tires on top of that. Thats too much money to spend on wheels. For that much money I can supercharge it and not care I am on stock wheels haha

any of the wheels will look good on your ride.. I personally like those pentas alot. Wish I could see how they would look on a WDP for my car.. but I think they will look good on a SSM..good luck with your search..any mesh wheels will look amazing on your ride tho

good thing is I found pentas for relatively cheap ($2160) with Falken 452 tires mounted, balanced... Shipping would only be 100 dollars (quoted by the seller). Bad thing is I will have to listen to my parents yell at me and bitch how I am irresponsible for spending that much money on the car I haven't payed off yet. So we'll see how everything plays out. I think I will be getting some spacers first and when I get those that means I have to get the rims then too haha

let me know how the penta's fit, i am still debating which one to get but if pentas work good than ill buy those. I am pretty sure you will need to roll the rear fenders, but if you can get them on without rolling the rear even better. Keep me posted
