bump this thread im trying to compare the tein basics and the megans one for price wise its about a 100 bucks cheaper and 2 needs to be able to go low and high easily with good ride quality of stiff and soft which is in between also stop comparing megan and tein on other car like integras and rsx only compare for the tl to make it eaiser for ppl who is researching other opinons for another car model would be different for our tl's

I have installed a couple of these coilovers on IS300's and a few other cars. The quality is pretty up to par with its competitors. IMO I would use them over Tein. Tein has comfort but I like how the Megan's ride and for the price you really cannot beat them. The custom spring rates are also another thing that gets me with the megan's which is another thing I do like about them.

Been sporting these in my 3g TL for over 5k miles, and have ZERO issues with them. No squeaky noise etc.
You can make them really stiff or softer than stock or just like stock.
Also if you want they can slamm your ride (tucked rims) if you want. lol.
Quality is gwood, looks alot beefier than teins (IMO) Mono tube design is nice.
Megans > Teins basic
Tiens SS > Megans --ONLY because of the EDFC but how often will you be changing stiffness all the time? I have mine set at 17F/16R and I don't ever touch or change the settings and happy with overall ride. Would definately sport these coilovers again if I ever wanted to use it for example new TL-s lol.
FYi-I have same coilover as pictured but my tophats has dual allen wrenches on each sides for camber adjustments but I never even messed with them.

someone should make a video...that would be best.
I dont know about tein, but the megans are pretty simple. The last perch all the way at the bottom is the locking perch. that is the only perch you need to touch.
When you want to adjust your ride height, loosen the last perch and then start rotating the complete upper spring by turning it. You may grip the lower portion of the spring including the two perches snug below the spring.
Soft or stiff, is just by turning the top knob.

One of the vendors on here sells it pretty cheap. I was gonna get a set but right when I was I had some personal emergency come up so I couldn't spend the money at the time. I remember I saw it in the black market section.

I just did a search and it looked like statikperformance is the vendor but he has been inactive since July? So I don't know if that is him. I bought my CAI off him and it was shipped immediately with no problems.

What are your plans/wants from the megans? comfort? lower capability? stiffness? daily driving? spirited?
had em for about... 2 months? damping set to about 5 clicks from soft and very comfortable for daily driving.. have not encountered any noise issues and they seem to be holding up very well.
I'm low but im not slammed, but have the option to go higher AND lower if I wanted to
and these are slightly stiff already compared to stock, but it's not an overwhelmingly horrible feeling going over crappy roads in my daily driving.
overall very pleased w/ the purchase and would def get another set

^^just now noticed this....im looking for that low factor with comfort and handling during normal driving....i rarely drive on the highway and dont drive fast very often...i have basics on my accord and with them being basically all the way down its a little soft for me...so i am definitely willing to spend a little more for the megans with the dampening adjustment...in the last pic i posted the guy said it rode very good even being that low
