Replacement rim, tpms question

I have a bent rim on my 2007 TL, so I managed to get a replacement rim with no sensor. Can the old sensor be reused? If so can a independent tire shop handle it? Or am I better of buying a new sensor put it in the rim myself?

yes the old sensors work...

The tire shop should have no issues transfering them for you... However... You should buy the outer valve and rubber seal service parts cause they are designed for one time sealing use... It costs like $15 at the dealer... This will guarantee a tight seal on the replacement wheel valve opening hole...

Good luck...
