Regular rims on Type S

I have a 2007 Acura TL Type S and I am looking to put on different wheels. I would like to get the wheels that come on the base model for the TL. Does anyone know if the wheel from an 04 on up will fit? I heard that it may not clear the brakes.

yes. they clear the brembo's

I have an '06 6MT TL equipped with brembo brakes.
the 04-06 wheels clear it.

Not a good swap, imho.

1. The Type-S wheels grow on you.

2. If I were moving from one OEM stock wheel to another, I'd move to the split 5-spoke on the base '07/'08. Better looking wheel. IMHO.

'04-'06 no problem with fitment, but the '07-'08, although they fit, they are closer to the Brembo calipers than recommended, so a 3mm spacer is in order.

I am really looking for any rim that I can get for a decent price. I want to keep my Type S wheels for the summer and I want to take them off in the winter to keep them in decent shape. I liked the base TL wheel and that would be my winter wheel. What I got so far is that I would need a spacer for the wheels. Are the spacers safe?

^no you dont need a spacer. even the 07-08 base clears without a spacer.
turbonut said that it will still clear, but is closer to the caliper than recommended.
