RE950's opinion revised
I got the 255/55/16 RE950's a few weeks ago, and was not satasfied with the purchase until now... I though they were floaty, hard, and couldent grip the way i hoped they would.
Then today, driving back from Daytona Beach, it was me and my buddie in his M5. It rained the entire way. At one point i was relaxing and he decided to race a Camaro for a while. I let them speed off, but when he didnt "wait up" i got kinda pissed and decided to catch up. So I started to pick up the pace a little bit, (wow im gunna get flamed for this) and around 100 Mph i felt the tires grip much better. Remember, it was raining on I4 and im doin a buck. So moving through traffic, i still coudlent catch up (20 minutes later) so i figured he was way ahead of me. So I....uhhh.....well i bump it up to 120 ::cough cough:: and still having to navigate through traffic, it was no problem for the tires at all. Even the M5 with the Toyo's on there was having issues keeping up with me when i passed him after FINALLY catching up to him.
Good tires. I still think next time though im goin to go with Nitto, Kuhmo, or Sumitomo, just to see what they are like.
