Racing Hart M5 pics

I just got Racing Hart M5 18x7.5 (+44mm offset) 3-piece wheels installed on my 2002 ABP TL Type S (with Comptech drop). They are wrapped in Nitto Extreme ZR NT555 225/40/18 tires. I'm really happy with them - I've gotten more compliments in the past 2 days on my car then I have since I got it at the end of May.

Here are some pics of the wheels. I took these Thursday night in the garage while it was raining, so quality isn't all that great. I'll take some more after I clean my car.

I had 4 people in the car with no rubbing yesterday, though the wheel shop cut the tabs just in case.

I was concerned about rubbing. I knew people had installed 18x7.5s without any problems, but almost everyone who has put on 19s has had some sort of rubbing issues when either going over a big bump in the road or having a lot of weight in the car. I just didn't want to worry about that.

Talking

Thanks, I really like them - I was worried they wouldn't go well on my car but I'm quite happy with them. I got the wheels from F1 Motorsports, the autoshop that runs www.abcwheels.com. They are located in West Hollywood, California. I got what I consider to be a pretty good deal based on the prices I've seen around on the Internet, which is a little less then $3100 with tax.

If it's nice out tomorrow I'll get the car all cleaned up and get some more pictures taken for the gallery.

I fell in love again with the car.

Keith

Nice, how heavy are they? I hate how our rotors rust like that, see if you can paint that with some high temp.

BTW, I know this is OT, but...how do you like the headers, worth the 1G? And any plans on the body kit?

Headers make a big difference at the top end, but you won't notice them at slower rpms. They're worth the $1500 or so you'll pay for them shipped and installed. I got them at the same time as my exhaust so I'm not sure how they affect the sound on a car with stock exhaust, but it could only help (I love the roar my car makes in VTEC with intake/headers/exhaust).

No plans on the body kit - my car is low enough for my tastes and adding the body kit will just cause more issues for me getting in and out of driveways.

The things I am thinking about next are video on my navi, painting the engine and battery covers, MM1, MM2, and cleaning up the look of the brakes.

I took these pictures this morning. The lighting isn't all that great, but considering it is Christmas I am not going to complain about a few clouds in the sky. I will take some more pictures on a brighter day and put them up in the gallery section, but these should do for now.

As far as the Southern California meet - That's on the first day of the LA Auto Show! And the only day I am available to see it since I go back to school in Santa Barbara on the 6th. Hopefully there will be another meet that I can drive down for, I'm definetly interested.

Thanks.. I like them, glad other people agree and I don't have to question my taste too much. The cars are a Legend LS, S2000, ES 300, and the TL Type S.

Great Pics and rims, though I like exposed lugs for my self. Plus tracks make you take the center caps off

WDP looks really clean on the TL, though. I would get it if I wanted more of a sleeper.

haha, that's not what I want..I want to SHOWOFF!!! But I think the White is a nice color, stands out also due to the fact that it's a bright color. I saw three young thug look a likes in a ABP TL-S yesterday..all stock...hehe....makes me refrain from getting it also. I'll make my final decision when I get the car in the mere weeks that is coming!! Woo hoo!!

It didmake you look at the car....didnt it?? It's defin an eye catcher. I've always like the flashy blue color on the M3's, so maybe that's why i went w/ this. I was having second thoughts after i bought it, but once i got a ton of looks- i knew i made the right decision.
That white is pretty sharp too.....would defin smoke out the windows if i had that color.

Keith,

Nice! Racy, but not ricy!

I tried to send you a PM and got some weird error message. Call me if you still have my cell number or email me at washnwax@aol.com

I lost your phone number and I want to ask you a few questions.

Thanks,
Jeff

Hey, thanks for the compliments.

California requires a front license plate, but enforcement varies throughout the state. The places where I live and park my car are really strict on front license plates and will even leave a fix-it ticket on your car. :\ I'm thinking about taking someone elses suggestion and moving it lower, though. It would at least make it look a bit cleaner.

I am waiting for the mystery mods to come out and then, I swear, I'm stopping the modifications. (suuure... I don't even believe myself anymore, this is more expensive than a drug addiction!)

Happy New Year,
-Keith
