you should be fine with stock lugs. why are you only doing a 5mm though? +40 offset on stock wheels is still going to be stuck in.

I've got the 19' rdx wheels on 245's with a 1.5 inch drop. I'm worried about rubbing with a 10mm spacer

ah. 245's are pretty wide. you should still be able to easily pull off a 10mm spacer with a little fender roll.

Are the extended studs easy to swap? Seems like most don't come with them already attached

The only question I have, is that if I have to use spacers, should I just use the two up front, or should I buy four and put them in the back as well?

I'm looking for some good hubcentric spacers as well. I prefer the 5 mm so that I don't have to change the lug. Any recommendations? Thanks.

5mm hubcentric spacers with built in lugs? I don't think anyone makes those. I can't imagine them being all that safe. And none of the 5mm ones will be hubcentric I think. Even some 10mm aren't hubcentric.

This site will make whatever size spacer you need. Also they are hubcentric and can even make them wheel centric to aftermarket wheels.

I think there is quiet alot involved. I know a shop asked 150-200$ to do it and they themselves told me not to go through with it.

I've replaced studs in a few of my previous cars, and it was never an issue. I wonder what makes this car such a pain

I looked into replacing the studs with my old wheels and I don't recall the specifics, but it wasn't as easy as you would think. I'm not sure if it was the front or the rear, but the studs wouldn't come strait out the back because there was something in the way so you needed to like remove the whole hub or something...again, I don't remember the specifics, but it wasn't as easy as it was in older honda\acura models.

My 240's were like that too, but all I had to do was rotate the assembly to a certain spot. There was place that was notched out, so you had to do one stud at a time and it barely fit, but I would hope Acura would have a similar design. Then again, they seem to have made everything difficult on this car

Did some more research. It appears that the axel shaft gets in the way becasue it bulges out a bit and keeps you from pulling the studs straight out. You don't want to jam the new ones in at an angle either becasue you will mess up the threads on the stud.

To get the studs out, you need to need to remove the calipers, the spindle nut, brake disc retaining screws, then remove the hubs. Then you need to press the studs out.

another dumb question; if I go through with adding the spacer and changing the studs, will the stockies fit when I put them back on for the winter or do I need to swap the OEM studs back in?

so it seems from searching that I don't need extended studs if I use a 5mm spacer but do i need to use open-ended bolts?
