question on rims...18 by 8.5??

would 18 by 8.5 fit our cars (2000 TL-P) without modification. i do have h and r sport springs on it....or will it stick out? please let me know asap...i wanna get the giovanna essens or casssinos

it depends on the offset of the wheel. IMO would not go wider than 8 with less then 45 offset.

Have you decided what size tire you wanted to go with? This should be the first thing you choose before selecting the wheel size.

give me a suggestion on the entire setup...they gonna be 8.5 inches wide.....i dont want the tires to be extrremely low porifle, but i dont want em to be tooo thick..suggestions please//////

I have 18 x 8.5 rims (+55 offset) with 235/40/18 tires. There's no rubbing, but the car's not lowered. Hope this helps.

thats the thins...im looking for 18 by 8.5 with 235/40/18 (like sopmeone mentionmed earlier in this post) but i have a drop..ha nd r sports...like bout 17.5 inches...would that rub? please let me know ASAP

It all depends on the offset. +55 on a 8.5" wheel may actually be too much positive offset. I would say +49 would do you well. BTW why are you going with 8.5"?

that is the only width they make in an 18 inch wheel.....so a 49 would be good you think? how could i find out for sure..........
