Question regarding wheel fitment on my 3G TL
Hi all, I'm new around here.
I'm a proud owner of a 2005 Acura TL Base w/ Navi in DGP, with the A-Spec Suspension Kit installed, and an XLR8 Stoptech BBK installed (Link): Big Brake Kit by STOPTECH (With SILVER ST-41 Calipers, 328X28mm 1 Piece Drilled Discs) - TL/TSX/ACCORD/CL - EndLess RPM ...And I'm looking to upgrade my wheels. I really like the look of a fairly stretched tire, so i'm thinking 18x9 +30 offset in the front and 18x10 +25 offset in the back. Link to the wheels i'm pining for here: 18x9 30 18x10 25 Varrstoen MK2 Wheels Matte Black Deep Dish Staggered JDM Rims | eBay I would be running 205 40/18 on the front and 215 40/18 on the back.. but in order to create the a matched tire stretch from the front, is this a good fitment? would 205 35/18 in the front be better matched to the back? that being said, I want to know what extra hardware I will need (cambering kits and control arms) as well as if my tire sizing idea is sound for the stretch I desire and Whether or not I will need to roll fenders. I don't really want to take scissors to my fender so that's totally out, but given that i only have A-Spec level drop (1/2 an inch i think?) Do you guys think i will need fender pulling or rolling? Let's find out what i need to run these rims and tires! Thanks! |
Wondering if i should even bother with the staggered wheel width? should i just go 205 40/18 on 18x9 all around?

Look at the sticky in this forum, and look up the XXR thread. Your answers are there, you just need to sift through all the banter to find them.
