Adamyankee,
I'm a rim upgrade first timer, and would like to ask your opinion on what size tire to get.
Tirerack.com for the Mille Miglia Spyder Rims (17 x 7.5) automatically put you to a size of 215/50/17 size and their best suggested tire is Dunlop's SP5000 Symetrical.
Should I bump the thickness to 225 or 215 would be good for a first upgrade? I'm really looking for 2 things with this upgrade, looks and also slightly better handling.
I'll try call tirerack to clarify too.
Thanks for your help on this one.

Tire Rack will always refer you to the 215/50-17 tire cuz that is the proper +1 size.
The +2 is therefore 225/40-18. See a pattern?
These sizes will give you a tire closest to the original stock diameter of 25.68 inches.
However, the +1 size, although close, was not available in the tire I wanted so I went with 225/45-17. Check it out if you have to with that brand. It may be smaller than the original, but I will have more clearance and and I will be driving slower than my speedo says, not faster.
IMO, 225s give the car a more aggressive stance, look, and feel. If you're gonna go up, why go 10mm when you can go 20mm. Bigger jump.
I'm going to bed, so I'll answer any other questions tomorrow if you need me.
