Question about rims/wheels.... Help..

Hello,
I want to put some different rims on my '06 TL. I found some 17" 5 spoke rims on Craigslist and they have size 205/35/17 tires on them. The rims look just like the 3G TL-S wheels but not sure. I have brand new stock 235/45/R17 tires on my stock rims now. Can I put MY new tires on these 17" rims I want to buy???? Thank you!!

First the 3G TL-S doesn't have 5 spoke wheels, and with a 205/35-17 on the wheel, I'd make certain as to the wheel width, 8" minimum and also must know the offset, and also check the center bore size 64.1 min.

Thanks a bunch. I meant to write 5 LUG wheels not spoke. Good find. They are 5 LUG wheels that look identical to the 3G TL-S. So if the rim is a 17" x 8" and the center bore size is 64.1 it should work right? I'll also check the offset. I think it's somewhere btw 35-45 but I'll double check. Thanks again..

So I am almost in the exact position the threadmaker is in and I wanted to do something to my new 06 black tl. I have the stock 17" alloy 5 spoke rims and thought to mimic the old GT Performer bike when I was little, to powder coat or paint these stock rims black to have the black on black interior on black rims. Let me know what some of you think...be critical i dont mind, and I'm at the beginning stages so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone from New Jersey could tell me the window tinting all around, if it can be a certain percent on the driver and passenger side or nothing at all.

Thanks guys

You're not going to like my replies, I don't like black wheels and I also don't like window tinting, especially in NJ where it is illegal, at least on the front:
Windshield-No tint is allowed on the windshield.
Front Side Windows- No tint can be applied legally to this window.
Back Side Windows Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window Any darkness can be used.

Having said that, everybody has their own opinions, likes and dislikes, so if you believe that those wheels will complement the car, go for it.

X2 .. especially on black .... it makes the whole car look like an unfinished void.

It's best to go with what you like. If you like a particular style/color, why post for opinions because not everybody will agree with your choice. I personally like the chrome look with the WDP, so I had the OE wheels PVD chromed. Even on our '08 white knock around car I had the OE aluminum wheels chromed, and our modified RX7 Turbo has highly polished wheels.
Not everyone will like the chrome look, but that's what makes the world go around, do you own thing.
