Potenza RE760?

Is anyone using the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 tires?

How do they compare to the Yokohama S.Drive? How's the treadlife, assuming proper rotation, alignment and inflation?

Thanks.

Have used them on my Legend and Integra. GREAT tires with good wet traction and mileage. Can't compare with Yokohama since I haven't tried them, but these Potenzas are the best tires I've ever had on the cars.

I bought the RE760 as a replacement for Goodyear Eagle F1-GS3. After 10 000km, here's what I think (04 TL 6MT with A-Spec suspension)

-wet traction: advantage RE760
-wet handling: small advantage F1-GS3
-dry traction: equal
-dry handling: a little more understeer with the RE760 at the same inflation
-steering response: advantage F1-GS3
-flat spots: advantage RE760
-tread wear: advantage RE760 (tire is not directional so you can switch side, higher UQTG)
-noise: pretty close
-comfort: little advantage for the RE760
-break-in period: RE760 took at least 1 000km to stiffen, cannot tell for the F1-GS3 that were on the car when bought
-price: huge difference here in Canada: 235/40/18 RE760:200$, F1-GS3>300$

Overall I'm satisfied with the RE760.

Hope this helps.

I like mine. Softer than the Hankook K104 and BFG G-Force Sport tires I had before, but more grip than either. Way more grip than any all-seasons I've used. At the current rate they're wearing at, I'm probably going to get 20-25k miles on them.

I replaced my stock Michelin Pilot HX MXM4s with Potenza RE750s which have been great tires -- great dry traction and handling, no problems with wet traction and handling although I don't push too hard when it's raining.

The RE750s are nearing the end of their life on my car (have more than 45K miles on them) so I plan on replacing them with RE760s which, on paper, seem very similar since the 760s replaced the 750s in Bridgestone line-up. Therefore, I'm expecting similar performance and wear.

The RE760s placed 3rd in a recent Car and Driver tire comparison:

Check out the August C&D. They compared a buncha tires...Hankook Ventus V12 EVO and Dunlop Star Spec rated the highest.

The RE760 and S.Drive were ranked middle of the pack.

Still the benchmark: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2

I don't think RE760s were on the 3rd place... It's clearly written 4th place...

Benchmark: Michelin Pilot Sport PS2

Fourth: Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
Third: Kumho Ecsta XS
Second: Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
First: Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

My bad.

After reading the article, I was considering the Hankooks but I don't have any experience with the brand and I was also worried that they'd wear too fast. I drive about 25K miles/year on my commute and need something that'll last at least a couple of years (but still provide decent performance).
