How are you doing? Did u manage to call Advance for the AEM CAI??
I voted other just the fact I never tried the others you have mentioned. Currently I am running Falken Z512's and they are alot better than the EL 42's. They are really good tires for the $$ but the only drawback about these Japan made tires is road noise. Seem to hear some road noise after a 1yr of use. But other than that the tires perform really well in dry and wet conditions.

I just got the avons and I am very satisfied with them. They are an amazing improvement over the EL42's. I am suprised there aren't many votes for them?? They have the highest rating on tire rack for a reason and at $100 a piece they are a bargin.

I've had a whole variety of tires, but the best ones so far have been Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. My TL came with Yokohama AVS100 and I'm extremely disapointed.
BTW, where did you find the Michelin PS A/S for $191? What size are they? Because I'm curently planning to buy them as replacements for the Yokos, and the 235/40/18s are $235 (at www.tirerack.com ) and $243 (at www.discounttire.com ).
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S still have the sport pattern, stick to the road extremely well, wear much slower than any regular sport tire and are extremely quite and smooth riding. I loved them on my BMW

I missed a very good one: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ero+Nero+M%26S
the rate is higher than the MICHELIN PILOT SPORT A/S but the price is much lower than the SPORT A/S.
the price (Pirelli) is $135
the price (Michelin) is $191

I just got a set of kumho ecsta asx 245/45/17 tires. The larger size and the softer tire made a big difference in the ride, compared to the OEM bs tires, which in their last awful days ran like tank treads. The kumhos are very quiet and much easier on the divider strips and bumps in the road and the handling is still just as responsive. Expected tread life is 40000+ miles (treadwear 420) compared to the 24000 I got on the bs tires (w/ treadwear 260). They also don't look too fat from the side but have a wider, more muscular look from the front and rear. I would highly recommend them, especially in the 245 size. Price on Tirerack was $92. I highly recommend them.
