I am old enough to know you get what you pay for...but jeez...368 shipped to my door vs. $680 shipped or so for the brands I'm used to. That's a big difference. Who has em and what do you honestly think?
Wear?
Noise?
Wet traction?
Handling?
Thank you!

Don't know anything about them, but you're right on target, you get what you pay for.
How about the UHP Diamond TR968 that are on sale $61.46 each or $245.84 for the set plus shipping. $51 to my zip. Total under $300.00 for all 4.
All season tires
XL (Extra Load)
UTQG: 400-A-A
Speedindex: V: the tire's speed capacity is up to 149 mph/240 km/h !

I've never run them, but on other boards, I've seen people run them... Everyone I've seen run them are quite happy with them.
This time around, I went with Continental Extreme DWS, which are actually pretty decently priced...

C&D did a test pitting tires against the Michelin PS2 and one was from China, Ling Long L688. Here's the report on this tire:

I am currently running the TR968's on my TL. They have been fairly well for the 6 months I've had them. Just got them rotated yesterday and you can hardly tell the back ones from the front. I dont race so I think they serve their purpose for me.

I had the NS-II's before. I had them wrapped on my Motegi MR-7's on my Prelude SH. These wheels lasted about 7k miles before all 4 of them started to form bubbles. Eventually 2 of them popped. I had a blowout on 1 of them and the entire tire seperated off the bead. They did not wear well at all. These tires were never going to last more than 10K miles. I believe I had then in a 215/35/18 which was way to low of a profile, but regardless they are trash. If I remember correctly they did not grip either. I will find pictures of the bubbles and blowouts and post them later when I get home from work. My recomemdation: I feel that the tires are the most important part on your car. It is the one thing that makes contact with the road. I suggest spending the money and getting quality. I have had Nanking NS-ll, BF Goodrich Traction T/A, Hankook Ventus Sport K104, Nitto Neogens, and Sumitomo. My favorite were the Hankooks. They lasted forever and I loved them. I had the Nitto's on my civic which was slammed and I also highly recommend them as well. Stay away from Nanking. You will have issues, I promise.

Dude, that's what I'm talking about...thank you. And trust me, that's what I figured and I know better. I had great luck with the Kumho Ecsta AST's before...almost 30K on a slammed RSX! Hankook K106's on my EP before. I'll spend the extra scratch for safety reasons...but if you do the math, if you have to replace at 10K instead of 20 or 30, then it's cheaper anyway!
Again, thanks for the honest reply.

I currently have the Nankang NS1's on my 07 TLS.
I just bought the car and the tread looked good for life (not needing to be replaced right away). I have finally driven it enough to know these Nankang NS1's have poor grip, both laterally and in straight line acceleration and braking.
I have had lesser expensive tires on a car before that were better. I just orderd a set of Goodyear Eagle GT's, which I had on my Audi Allroad last. I'll be installing them in the next day or two.
I do tend to drive hard at times, fun times that is. I have no idea how long they might last for an average driver.
I was going to order the Continental DWS's but they are out of stock until June or later for Discount/America's Tire.

Damn, I was about to buy the Nankang for my wheels cuz they are so cheap but not anymore. I love my Falken 452's and I love the Nitto tires even more so I'll be deciding between those 2.
Rockstar, did you decide which tires to go with?

You're in Portland? Which America's Tire did you call? I originally called Clackamas and they told me the same thing... Called Beaverton, and they said they could get them in 3 days... Called Clackamas again, and told them which warehouse Beaverton was talking about, and Clackamas got the tires for me in 3 days... This was two weeks ago...

Just put a set of Hankook V12EVO on my type-S yesterday. Grip seems good, rain today and they held well. Much quieter that the old Bridgestones. Local shop matched Tire Rack plus a $50 rebate from Hankook. Mounted, balanced, taxes and disposal $488.17 with the rebate. They got a very good rating on the C&D summer performance comparison. Check them out

I didn't ask any further details. I did read on Tire Rack's website that they won't have them until June so assumed all warehouses were low on stock or back ordered. I had called the Tigard location and the guy I talked to said he had put a set of the DWS's on in the last couple weeks.
I'll have to wait until these wear out before trying the Conti's.

When I got my DWS 2 weeks ago, America's Tire/Discount Tire, got mine from California, but they said they also had stock in their Georgia warehouse, which should be pretty close to you.. Go to America's Tire/Discount Tire, and tell them to check Georgia, and maybe you'll luck out...

Not a chain, just a local garage that had their distributer match Tire Racks price. Plus the rebate. Worked out better because the tax was less that the shipping from Tire Rack.
