Every thread I have read about this car says the wheels are GUN METAL and they were NOT special ordered. I can only find them in silver. Anyone know where I may find them in gunmetal?

www.vividracing.com ? I'm just guessing though.
edit:
I just checked their site. They do offer it in gunmetal.

Lugnuts/Wheel locks
What lugnuts and/or wheel locks are members using with VOLKS? (size/brand)
I'll be part of the VOLK family really soon, but I have to make up my mind on which one of these 19" x 8.5" (+35 to +43 offset) rim's in gunmetal or black I will be buying. They will go on a 2004 NBP auto.
Volk SF Challenge Diamond Black
Volk SF Challenge Silver
Volk GTV Diamond Black or Gunmetal
Volk GT-AV Black or Gunmetal
Here are more pictures of Volks on diff ride's if any one's interested: http://www.wheelsdirectonline.com/vo...olkgallery.htm
AWESOME RIDES & WHEEL'S GUYS!

No the SF Challenge. Its the pic of the VOLK RIM on the other page? Do you know what style that is. I think those would look good on a black TL? Don't you think?
Thanks

I have been waiting for someone with a NBP to order a set of those in 19s. I have a feeling they will look mighty fine!

Very nice additions...thanks for posting the pics and specs.
xristos... is your TL dropped on springs yet?
shinybluecls... i'm a big fan of your CL..i enjoy looking at the pictures from various photoshoots of your car.
The new Volk Racing GT-S looks good in person...simple and clean 5 spoke design.

My TL sits on stock suspension. I commute to work about 100 miles per day and worry about lowering it. Unless I benefit from more comfort & peformance in lowering my car, I will stay stock in the meanwhile.
I don't know if keeping it stock with the new rims will cause more wear & tear on my stock suspension.
I f I do decide to lower it, what is the usual upgrade??? New springs only or springs & shocks as a package.

For your daily grind thats a lot of miles in one day. It's all in what you value...either a smoother ride with the stock suspension or better handling with aftermarket springs.
I would suggest going with the tein s-tech springs if you decide to lower the car. No aftermarket shocks are neccessary.

when i saw the Official RAYS ENGINEERING/VOLK RACING wheel thread, i thought it was about a group buy or something of the sort since it had official in it. But anyways is there anyway if we get enough ppl interested in a certain model that we'd be able to get a group buy from rays?

I'm really starting to think of putting a set of Volk 18's on my Mustang...
Volk GT-AV Black would look really really good
I have always liked the gold wheels as well, maybe some gold SF Challenge, Progressive Spokes, or maybe the new GT-S.
If I could special order the Volk Progressive Spokes in 18 inch staggered in Gold, I would do it right now

Im going to be part of the volk racing family myself, purchased 19x8.5 +34offset gunmetal sf-challenge for my 04 satinsilver 3g tl, and I wondering if thats the best offset for my tl....its an auto but I still want it to clear brembos incase I get an upgrade and if possible to get the lip as big as possible without having the rim stick out of the car too much...also do you guys get cambers/struts?

hmmm thanks for your reply, but If you look on page 1 and 3 , the black tl's have the diamond black sf-challenges and they have the +34 offset...and since I don't see the brembo kits on the 3rd page tl Im assuming its AT? I thought only manual comes with the kit...but i dunno...so help? will the +34 off set fit on the AT? and on the bbk?
#79
chill_dog, Offset doesn't really tell if the wheels will clear BBK or not. For instance, my wheels are 35 offset and they clear the Brembo calipers with probably 1/2" or 3/4" clearance.
Jshmak, if you're ordering Volk Racing, make sure you order the wheels with High or Super High Pad to clear the BBK. But the trade off is the width of the lip. High or Super High Pad wheels have less lip than Medium or Low Pad ones do.
Medium Pad wheels clear the AT calipers.
35 offset, give or take 2 mm will be fine for the car.
