Official Acura A-Spec Rim Part# List 3G Garage #D-088

I decided to start this thread as a reference for people looking for the proper names and part# for all A-Spec rims since there is great confusion with these given the many names people use for the same colors....

Here we go....pictured below....

Names Listed From Top Down:

CHROME LOOK

A-SPEC (Satin)

SPARKLE SILVER

Part#'s for the rims/years with or without TPMS in part# order:

04 A-Spec Gunmetal Rims (Not Available-Discontinued)

08W18-SEP-200 – (guessing 04 original 8.5” Grey Gun Metal?)
08W18-SEP-200B – 05 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims)
08W18-SEP-200C – 05 TL Chrome Look
08W18-SEP-200D – 05 TL Sparkle Silver
08W18-SEP-200E – 06 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims) TPMS
08W18-SEP-200F – 06 TL Chrome Look TPMS
08W18-SEP-200G – 06 TL Sparkle Silver TPMS

All rims are now 18x8 in series 200B - 200G.

Hope this helps any prospective rim buyers know what to ask for and what they are looking at, ect.

I have an 05TL 6MT with original 17" wheels. Does anyone know if the ones listed in this thread for an 06 with TPMS will work with my car? I know what TPMS is, I just don't know how that impacts selecting wheels and if the 200E through 200G will work on my car.
08W18-SEP-200E – 06 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims) TPMS
08W18-SEP-200F – 06 TL Chrome Look TPMS
08W18-SEP-200G – 06 TL Sparkle Silver TPMS

Yes, every wheel on that list will work/fit.

If the wheels have TPMS valves already installed it won't matter to you because your car can't read them. IOW - you car won't even know they are there.

Might even be able to remove the sensors and sell 'em in the Black Market to someone getting new wheels that needs sensors.

bolt pattern question

I have an '05 TL w/manual transmission so it has the Brembo brakes. When I bought it I put 18" Roja wheels on it which have at this point taken too many beatings. 1 wheel has a bent spoke and anytime I am approach 80mph I get some vibration. For this reason I always keep that wheel mounted on the rear; never on the front. I would buy a replacement but Roja's are no longer made. Sucks! I'm finally at the point where I'm fed up and am willing to buy new wheels. According to this thread the factory 18" are 18X8, weigh about 25lbs, and have a 45 offset. What is the bolt pattern? I'm open to any advice anyone might have on what wheels to get.

I have the ebony chrome a-specs and one funny thing about them is that after a week of rain with no washing of the car, a thin layer of dust or whatever settles on the rims when dry. This effect "tones" down the shine of course and voila, you have gun metal a-spec rims lol!!

Pic of dirty ebony chrome a-spec:

I bought my A-Spec wheels used a while ago and I"m trying to figure out which ones they are on this list. They are 18x8 with a 45mm offset. They were also power coated so I can't use the color to match it up. Is the part number stamped on the rim anywhere? I didn't see it last time I checked but it's been a while.

The reason I'm asking is because one of my rims was damaged and the insurance company sent a replacement that was not the same. It looked similar but slightly different, the size was 18x7.5, and it had a 55 offset. Anyone know where that could of came from?

Any help would be appreciated.

No part#s are on the back of the wheels - only size and offset. Those 7.5s aren't TL wheels. TSX possibly?

I think you're right. My car is actually a TSX so maybe they pulled one from the TSX catalog instead. I already told them they are TL wheels but maybe they didn't pay attention.

If there's no part number, is there anything that I can use to identify exactly which wheel I have?

The 18x7.5 is a tsx wheel and won't match.

You said in an earlier post that they were powder coated? I'm assuming that means a non-OEM color. In that case you just need to get any of the 18x8s (sparkle silver is usually the cheapest) and have someone match the powder coating.

Thanks. I'll ask them to replace it with a proper TL A-Spec wheel.

That's correct. The other issue is that I don't have the powercoat color that was used on the three remaining (good) wheels. I bought them used and the seller didn't have it either. The first attempt the shop made (on the TSX A-Spec wheel) to match the color turned out a little bit off. Does the color/shininess of the base wheel affect how the wheel looks after it's powdercoated? For example, I also don't want to end up having one wheel being shiner/duller than the others because I used the wrong color as the as the base wheel

Thanks!

I don't know about powder coating and final finish. A reputable shop should be able to fill you in. I have the ASPEC satin finish (middle of the three in the pic) and love the look.

Are there physical differences between the B - D vs. the E - G versions, or are they the same but the E - G include the sensors? If they are different, will TPMS fit properly on the B - D? I'm looking to get a set for a 2013 TSX.

08W18-SEP-200B – 05 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims)
08W18-SEP-200C – 05 TL Chrome Look

08W18-SEP-200F – 06 TL Chrome Look TPMS
08W18-SEP-200G – 06 TL Sparkle Silver TPMS

All rims are now 18x8 in series 200B - 200G.
Sorry to revive such an old thread guys, but there is still a lot of confusion over these wheel colors, so I thought I'd post a few pix for clarification on that note. The OP did a fantastic job on the part numbers.

There are exactly 4 colors for this wheel, and the letter at the end of the part number is meaningless to these colors, other than to differentiate them.

- Gunmetal ('04 only)
- Chrome Look
- Sparkle Silver
- Satin

Pictures, in order, below.

Gunmetal

Chrome Look

Sparkle Silver

Satin

I think Satin is the one that most people get confused about, calling it Hyper Black / Hyper Silver / Euro Chrome / Ebony / Opal / Gunmetallic, etc. All are wrong, it's simply "Satin", and the "E" at the end of the part number does not stand for any color name (it was produced with a "B" at the end of the part number as well).

Not that it matters, but the first two pix are actually the '04 wheel, which can easily by noted by the absence of a lip on the outside edge of the wheel compared to the last two pix.

Has anyone to date successfully color matched to the Gunmetal or Satin Aspecs? I recently picked up a set of 18x8.5s wrapped in meaty factory Yokohama AVS ES100s. However, they will need some touch up work and prefer to keep as much of the stock paint as possible.

It's literally not possible, as the wheel is made by Enkei, and they do not share their paint codes. I wanted that Satin finish more than anything in the world, and got Detroit Wheel and Tire to research it for me, and it simply wasn't going to happen.

The good news is that they had a factory A-Spec wheel in Satin there, and color matched it to a new Infiniti wheel that is as near as makes no difference, so that's what I got my wheels refinished in. Looks uber fantastic. See my thread here:

My A spec wheel is now badly bent and I have the spare on my TL, so I need to find another one. I am glad this thread exists. I have a 2008 TL-S with the A spec kit and wheels. I believe I have the sparkling silver but am not sure. If anyone knows where I can get this wheel I need to know, here's a picture and thanks:
I believe the part # is 08W18-SEP-202G, just not sure, not sure of the color, silver, ebony, or gunmetal.

That wheel is NOT sparkle silver, it's Satin, and I believe Detroit Wheel and Tire has one for sale, perfect condition. Talk to Brett markham.

They changed the part # in the later years to 202. Same wheel in every way. The thing you need to look for is the E and the B, which are both Satin.

Yes, exactly. Most companies do not know the official names of wheel colors, so they use generalizations, like Hyper Silver. Again, email Brett Markham at the address I gave you, he's the sales rep, and knows his stuff. I believe the wheel he has there is factory finish, but he can advise you best.

08W18-SEP-200E was replaced with
08W18-SEP-202E

And this is called "Alloy" (Ebony Black A-Spec). They do not call it "satin"

Here we go....pictured below....

Names Listed From Top Down:

CHROME LOOK
A-SPEC (Satin)
SPARKLE SILVER

Part#'s for the rims/years with or without TPMS in part# order:

04 A-Spec Gunmetal Rims (Not Available-Discontinued)

08W18-SEP-200 – (guessing 04 original 8.5” Grey Gun Metal?)
08W18-SEP-200B – 05 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims)
08W18-SEP-200C – 05 TL Chrome Look
08W18-SEP-200D – 05 TL Sparkle Silver
08W18-SEP-200E – 06 TL Satin Finish (A-Spec Kit Rims) TPMS
08W18-SEP-200F – 06 TL Chrome Look TPMS
08W18-SEP-200G – 06 TL Sparkle Silver TPMS

All rims are now 18x8 in series 200B - 200G.

Hope this helps any prospective rim buyers know what to ask for and what they are looking at, ect.
