Noobie needs help on coilovers!
So I am a noobie to acurazine and would like to say hey to you all. I am in the market for coilover for my stock TLs. I have read/heard good things about BC racing coilovers and I am pretty hooked on the bc coilovers. I would like to get you guys suggestions on it. I want for my car to increase in performance and ride like or better than factory. Sorry for the inconvenience of my noobie problem for i am only 17 and dont want to spend 1k on something that wont satisfy me. I'm on the fence of ordering these coilovers but i would like to hear suggestions from you guys..

I haven't had those but I had K-Sport Kontrol Pro's on my TL before my daughter was born & i loved the ride. They are only about $100 cheaper than the BC coilovers, and i am currently trying to decide between going with what im familiar with and loved, or trying the BC Coils.
Either way, as long as you go with a good brand. You shouldn't be disappointed. And they both (K sport and BC) have very good height adjustment. The BC brand even offers an "Extreme Low" option, which is very tempting to me.
Anyways, post pics when you get them on!

whats the difference reading a review from some one else and us?
nothing.
read reviews. make an educated purchase.
plus, writing a review is subjective and biased.
of course, they're going to give thumbs up to the brand that they have.
you have the product info and what it does infront of you(you can find on web)
take this info and compare it to your goals.
if your goals match what the product can do, then PURCHASE!
(p.s. this is how grown ups make purchases.)

ctee, it may seem like Justin here is being a d-bag, but he's really trying to help.
There are threads on the BC Coils, you just have to find them and read them.
As Justin said, reviews are biased because people are using that product and they will support it (if they have good experiences with it).
Unless you have someone local with the coils you plan to purchase, all you can do is read read read, and make a purchase on what you feel will be the best for you.
There are other coils out there, so be sure to not only look into BC coils.
A few others are...Tein, ISC, Megan, Function & Form...all different coils for different people.
I went with Tein because they dropped the car low enough to my liking and from reading many reviews, were very comfortable. Since the install in July, I am still pleased with my purchase.
Good luck and I hope you get a set you are pleased with
Also, I'm glad you're going straight to coils and doing it right the first time

Thanks guys! I was looking at teins but they didn't come with the dampening knob. I think I've made my mind and going with the bc! Will post pics as soon as they are installed, much appreciated guys! Thanks for the support

coilovers are coilovers are coilovers.
some have more options than others.
if your goals match what the product offers, then purchase!
so, your goals are mainly for performance.
Do the coilovers in question have adjustable damping?
if so, move on to the next question.
if not, move on to the next product.
next question; how low do i want to go?
does product match what I want it to do?
if so, proceed to next question.
if not go to next product..
and so on until you get the balls to click purchase.
and thats the beauty of having so many options.
literally; caters towards you and your goals.
and every one's goals are different.

IMO the TEIN coilovers and the XLR8 ISC coilovers are the best coilovers on the market for the price. Both are well built and have adjustment options. It really depends on what you want in a suspension. If you like BC I'd recommend the XLR8 ISC; if you want maximum comfort get the TEINs.

I too, am curious.
JK. OP, justin is right. Everyone has different likes and opinions.
With that said,I'll humor you. I've commented on some suspension threads about my own K sport suspension when i had them on my 3G TL and will say again, I loved them. They adjust to a really low height, you can see my progress thread for pics. Also, the dampening adjustment (which isn't available in the cheaper coils (FnF Type 1?) was great. 32 Levels IIRC, I set it at 16 and the ride (IMHO) was as smooth as stock, with an extra 'edge' ,if you will.
My driving preference? I'm all for comfort. I wanna have a smooth ride in any car that I own, not much stiffer than OE, and definitely don't want to bounce around over every bump or dip/pothole in Boston. But, I like the extra Umph that the K sports offered me for my spirited driving moods. AND the last, probably most important: the Lowness factor. I would like to believe my car was as low as comfort and practicality would allow me living in Boston, and my car being a DD.
If that helps you,great.
