Noob Questions
Hey Acurazine!,
I'm new here (odviously), but I'm pretty much only here to get my headlights upgraded by JnC (he's pretty hard to reach, but his work is well known), other then that I don't think I'll be hanging around to much, but I do have some Questions!
I recently got a birthday gift from my wife, some Volk's racing wheels. they are labeled as 19 x 8.5 and I think they cost around 500 a piece (she won't tell me, and she has connections via her brothers car club). the thing is, as I was looking at them, they seemed at lot larger then 19x8.5, but I didn't think about to much until now. I have to buy some tires for these wheels, and i really wanted to measure them just to be sure, and I measured 20x 10!!! I asked my girlfriend and she verified with the seller and they told her their systems say we got 19's. SOO, to make SURE SURE... she did some crazy math equation using the measurements of the sphere and what not ( Science Major at her college) and she got roughly 20" (20.385 to be exact). So not only did I get 20" Volk's, but at a 19" inch price
So my questions:
1. Do wheel manufactures make their wheels with different measurements?
2. should I still take them to an expert to see if we're wrong?
3. what size tires should I get??? 235\30\20's? (I can't do low pro's in boston, pothole city)
