Exclamation Noob Question - Lug Nut Size?

Hi guys, this might be a SUPER noob question...

I'm adding aftermarket rims (probably te37 reps) to my car. I was wondering what lug nut size to get?
I know that aftermarket rims typically require a conical lug nut, however is the "size" of the lug nut (ex. 1.25mm vs 1.5mm) referring to something about the wheel or something about the thread on the bolt?

Amazon - Muteki 32906T SR Series Amazon - Muteki 32906T SR Series

Here's an example of 2 options - one 12mmx1.25mm, and the other 12mmx1.5mm

12mm x 1.5mm

12mm is the diameter of the stud. 1.5mm is the thread pitch.

Just make certain you get the correct seat for the application.
