how much offset for 19 and 20 inch wheel would be ok for my 04 TL with no suspension adjustment?

and also..

what's a lip when someone talks about tires?

i'm a newbie

not sure about the offset part cuhz i have no idea what that is ethier but when somebody talks about a lip its usually the rim not the tires. kinda hard to explain
