New Toyo Proxes4 Great TIRE
http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines.../proxes_4.html
I just put these tires on my TL what a difference. Much better than my EL42s great grip in dry and rain and car behaves differently better response in handling.

Well I got 245/35/19 and they ran me $190 a tire.
I jumped on the freeway and they seemed quite. Maybe even a bit quitter than stock. I have to let mine sit over night to see if I get any flat spotting.

Well last night was the first time the car has sat over night with the tires on. Jump in the car this morning and no problems with the flat spotting.
Tonight I will try driving a little aggressive to get some heat in the tires. Then I will see what happens the next morning.
Tires are quite so far and they ride really smooth for a 245/35/19 tire and A-spec. I am assuming if you get the 245/40/18 and don’t have A-spec that they would be even smoother.

I drive my car everyday and so far no flatspotting like the EL42s. The tires are quiet and ride comfort is great. The performance is much improved I like them alot. EL42s are crap to these tires.

I upgraded to these Toyo's (245/40/18) immediately after picking up my TL. The stock Michelins seemed alright but I wanted a fatter, grippier tire. I was debating b/w the Falken 512's but decided against them since the Toyos have a much longer tread life. Also, the Toyos are quieter than the Falkens and seem to have pretty good ratings in the dry and wet.
I have pushed the car hard in the rain and have had very good traction. Not sure if it is due to the VSA or the tires , either way I am not complaining. Coming off a rear-wheel drive car, driving in inclement weather is finally fun
I would definitely recommend these tires. Plus at only ~ $120/tire, they are a steal!!

I bought the Falkens in a 245/40/18 was very concerned that the Falkens would be far inferior to Bridgestone, Michelin and the other high dollar sticky tires. Boy was I wrong. I have no complaints with the Falkens. Consumer Reports rated it #1 and it certainly made a believer out of me. I will most certainly purchase this tire again when it wears out. At a buck seventeen a copy it has to be the best value in the market today.
