New Tires Too Sensitive?
Hello, all. This weekend I purchased and installed a new set of wheels and tires on my 05 TL. The wheels are 18"x8.5" A-Spec Gunmetals and the tires are 245/40ZR18 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s.
They look amazing and feel very connected to the ground, but they seem very sensitive to imperfections in the road. I'm not sure if this is normal, since this is my first set of high performance summer tires. I have to hold the steering wheel steady when I go over bumps or else the car starts going off to either side.
So is this normal? Do I need to check my alignment and/or tire pressure? Does anyone else have the same issues? Thanks for reading!

I have the same wheel/tire measurements and I had the same exprience. For me, after awhile the side walls get softer and the ride becomes smoother(with my Falken ST-115). I guess it depends on the tire brand and how they re-enforce the sidewall. I remember having the Falken 451 and that was stiff! I had to play a lot with the tire pressure to get a comfortable ride.
