New Tires

I've got a sidewall buldge in one of my tires and am going to have to replace it, but after reading the reviews about the Turanzas, I thinking of getting a different brand of tire, I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions on a good replacement that won't break-the-bank ?

The Toyo Prox 4 that someone was talking about below sounds like just that, and at this point is in the lead for me when I buy new myself.

If you want a summer tire, The Falken Azenis ST 115's cant be beat for the price (probably 1/2 of what you would pay for Michelin's). I replaced my OEM Yoko's with them and I am completely satisfied. Not only are they a great handling tire, they are very quiet!

I looked into the Faulken ZE-512's, cause I wanted an all season tire. I could get those installed for about $615 at Merchants. Finally I decided to save a BUNCH of money and order the Toyo Proxies 4 from edgeracing and wait a week for shipping. I don't drive too much so I'm hoping the tire will hold up until the new tires get in. Got all four tires and shipping for $470. Sears will mount and balance for 14.99/tire. I could get them mounted with Nitrogen for 24.99/tire some place else, but don't know if I would notice the difference. I think just getting off the stock tires will make a big diff by itself.

I went with the Toyo 4s too! Got them locally b/c I couldn't wait on the shipping as I had a screw too near the sidewall to repair. If you search the forum you will see people have had good experiences with the Toyos and Pirelli PZeros that are both much cheaper than Michelins. Like you said - getting off the stock tires will make a huge difference.

I just got the Toyos installed today, what an unbeliebeable difference !!!!!! I never really knew how crappy the stock tires were. I highly recomment the Toyo Prox 4 tires. If you are going to put any money into your late model TL I suggest dropping the Turanzas off at the dump first chance you get, or having the dealer put different tires on it for you.
