new michelin tires on tl
sorry, if this has been covered befoe, but couldnt find the exact answer.
I just picked up a new tl with nav, a few days ago, and have not had a chance to drive it yet, except back from the dealer.
This is what I am thinking and asking.
The tl with nav come with the michelins now. I read the reviews on line about them , and they werent overflowing with praise, especially when it comes to wet or snowy weather. I know the el42,s were not any better.
Do you think I should immediately take the tires off, and replace them with a different tire, and hold onto the original tires , in case I ever sell the vehicle, and increase the value putting back on the brand new stock tires, or just leave them on till the winter time(I am in nyc) and put a good set of snow tires on them at that point.
I will need to drive this vehicle, no matter what the weather to get to work everyday.
Also, as a followup. I am thinking about putting new wheels and tires in a larger size on them(18,s).. Would that make any difference on handling?
Thanks to all.

I heard the Michelins well serve you will. True there are better tires out there but I'd only do that if you have enough extra money. If you had the EL 42's that'd be a different story. Congrates on your new vehicle! G'Luck!
