New to Megan Coilovers........

Hey Az

I'm new to the whole coilover suspension setups ...... I hate to sound really slow but after purchasing the Megan coilovers I have one really big problem ...... How do I adjust the ride height ???....... Lol I have a 06 TL ..... Install seems pretty straight forward but I wanted to adjust the shocks before I actually install them. Is there a guideline to setting them up Or should I just put them on and go thru the process of trial and error ....:0(...... I seen different things online saying you should just adjust the bottom of the coilover.... Then some people saying to adjust the spring..... I just want a good drop with comfortable ride...... Thinking 2.5" drop in front and 2" in back...... Someone please help .......

hopefully someone can give you some good advice about this...i plan on buying megans myself so i will be looking for any help also....i believe it is trial and error for the dampening adjustments to get the ride how you want it...ie soft or firm

you SHOULDNT have to touch the spring load.... JUST adjust the bottom sleeve up or down when you want to adjust height.

Yea I figured I wouldn't have to touch the spring side b/c if should already come factory loaded I guess...... But I seen many people using a measuring tape and measuring from the bottom of the spring nut to the bottom of the other locking nut and getting a measurement of 2.5 inches..... Is that going to be the ride height of the car when the shock is put in ??

No, it'll be trial and error...but easy enough to do once back on the car...
DO NOT TOUCH THE PRELOAD! You can, but shouldn't. Then measure the space left between spring perch lockring to the bottom lockring that goes into the base of the shock.

Si- pretty much trial and error...

-Set the bottom sleeve randomly before u put it on the car ( make it even on both sides )
-Install it then lower the car on the wheels and see how much more u want to adjust it (up or done )
-Raise it up and adjust bottom sleeve again up or down
And if u like it then ur done!
