New info on HTSpec damper kits (we just keep trying to improve!)

1) Previous V1 and early V2 kits had shorter lower brackets limiting the max height to a 1.5" drop from stock. Current V2 kits have different measurements for the lower bracket height because the orange pieces are longer...meaning there is more upward height adjustment available. We've actually gotten a couple cars HIGHER than stock with the latest kits.

2) The latest V2 kits have a revised front pre-load setting that should be followed. We recommend 7.5" from the bottom of the upper mount to the bottom of the spring. All HTSpec V2 kits are shipping from Function/Form with the preload set at this place from NOW (3/30/12) on.

3) We have included supplementary documentation and HTSpec decals in the latest shipments as well. If you need decals please email your order number to support@heeltoeauto.com. The documentation, which includes troubleshooting, history, specs for height settings, and more is available for download here:

Hey heeltoe I recently got some f&f type 2 from vexmotorsports for a very good deal and I love the way they handle but my question is how do I determine if I have the v1 or v2's

Everyone take advice on this new update guys. This is very helpful and was to me with adjusting the right out of the box height after going through issues with my new v2 kit (which has been corrected) the new V2 dampening kits with the new tube setup are great and come pretty low right out the box.Problem solved the updated version really rides smooth and firm.BUMP for a goood PRODUCT AND VENDOR THNXXX MARCUS

What damper settings would you say the type 1's are on the type 2's? (If you set your type 2's on these settings they would be exactly the same as type 1's)

Hard to say. About the middle settings I guess is the best way to indicate it.
