Neuspeed Supercup Kit Installed Pictures
Hey guys I just installed the Neuspeed Supercup Kit (Koni Yellow SP3 Shocks and Neuspeed Sport Springs) and am appalled about the ride height. The front is not worrying me but the rears are higher than stock. I set the shocks at the middle perch for all around. I was expecting for the car to look lower than stock even from the get go. I also drove a good 20 miles to see if it would settle more. Here are pictures after that drive. Let me know if this normal or if I received a defective set or something. I will also be contacting Koni and Neuspeed for their input. Also would putting the rear seats back have a significant impact on the ride height? Thanks guys.

Looks like the rear has the spring seat cup, upside down! Flip that over and reinstall, should be good to go.
Where did you score this kit? I thought the Koni SP3's were discontinued? |

It would be pretty obvious if it was upside down when I was putting everything together. Nevertheless, I actually just found out what happened regarding the ride height. This was my first time installing any kind of suspension. My buddy was helping me install it. He did the front and I did the rear. He forgot to tell me that I was supposed to tighten the bolts that hold the bottom of the shock when it's loaded. I tightened everything unloaded. He couldn't figure it out why it sat so high, because he assumed I tightened the bolts under load. I will be loosening the bottom bolt and tightening it under load and repost pics. It should fix it, if not then something is seriously wrong. |

i dont think the bolt issue would cause the ride height problem.
you guys have the spring perch on the lower settings? |

Hey it happens, I installed my spring upside down haha because I was too worried about correctly installing / assembling the shocks.

You guys are correct. It was installed incorrectly. Will have to redo it. But won't have time until this weekend. Sucks driving like this. Looks bizarre.

The front doesn't look very low either. I'd probably move them to the lowest perch too.

Hey guys thanks for all your input. My buddy who helped me install this decided that we fix this asap so I actually reinstalled it yesterday with his help. Otherwise I would've waited until this weekend. Here is a pic I just took today after driving about 40 miles on them. Looks good now and am pretty happy with the drop. Tight 2 finger gap on front and two finger gap on rear. The springs are sitting on the middle perch.

How much of a drop is that at each wheel? Looks good man much better!

The springs advertise a 1.5" drop on the front and 1.75" drop on the rear. I didn't take any measurements before so do not know the exact drop. The shocks were set at the middle perch which may have lowered it a minuscule amount. Setting it a perch lower would lower it another 20mm which is about 3/4".

Looks WAY better! Haha. I once installed my first lowering springs on a civic with the fronts on the rear and rear on the front. The front was almost touching the ground and the rear was monster truck style... You live and learn!

if you bought the neuspeed kit your front shocks should have 5 perches that you can adjust to.

I'm running full stiff all around but I may turn it down some today. It's just a PITA if you know what I mean because you have to remove the seats and front strut bar.
I'm going to set it to soft to see how much smoother it may be. I think that may be one of my next upgrades, front and rear sway bars. Our stock rear sway bars are like toothpicks! |
