First there was those poetnza cheapos that came on my black 2004 TL that lasted only 12k. Then I purchased some cool tread uhh cant remember the name of my tires but later I found out the reason why the tread looked so cool because they were summer tires. Now the rears on the edge looks worn .

I will need some before winter so what is a good snow tire? I got 26K on my car and heading toward a 3rd set. I thought tires suppose to last like 50,000 miles. WHAT UP

is your car lowered? or has the alignment been checked- the wear is one of the 2
Tires on a rear wheel drive car last 50k miles- not a front wheel drive car with some mass to it. Treadwear rating of 400 is what you want- 220-320 treadwear tires are going to be sticky but lucky to get 15-20k miles out of them
Summer tires have a different rubber that doesnt react well with sub freezing temps.

You want some tires that will last, Bridgestone Potenza RE960 A/S. 440 on the treadwear rating, quiet, great traction in rain/dry (dont attempt to use in snow). will last your 40K easily
