Mixing struts brands Front/Rear
With 112,000 miles think new struts might not be a bad idea. But also open to waiting/
Thinking of Koni Yellow adjustable up front and KYB out back. Realistically not going to remove rear seat to play with adjustable in the rear.

Different brands will have different valving that will affect rebound damping but I ran different settings on my KONIs front to rear based on temperature so I don't think there would be that much of an issue.
But this would lead to the question of why would you want/need adjustability on the fronts only? If you run different shocks on the rear, you won't know what your baseline for adjustability on the front is (i.e. from full soft) compared to the rear...so kinda negates the need for adjusting damping. I'd just get a set of non-adjustable KYBs all round and call it a day.

Just get a full set of one or the other if you're trying to replace all 4. This will give you predictable results. A new Koni Yellow on full soft still has firmer calving than a new oem KYB GR-2. I'd imagine the Koni would last longer as well.
I've considered just a front pair of Koni SP3 to increase the rebound up front after my TL-S Front Sway Bar install, but I have good functioning A-Spec shocks. If the rear ones were worn, I'd do all 4.

OP - I would stick with the same on all four. The Koni Yellow wouldn't be too bad...just set it once and forget about it...unless you plan on tracking the car.
Hey bin - how do you like the Progress RSP/Type S FSB set up?
