Need of new tires. Maybe Pirelli Pzero?

My rear passenger tire is super-damaged and have no meat left on them [other 3 tires have no meat left as well]. So, at the moment, my car is practically a road hazzard.
I was thinking of getting some summer performance tires... Saw some good reviews and bad reviews about the General Exclaim UHP; the same goes for Sumitomo HT something III... and haven't found any on the Falken 452.
I'm thinking about now getting Pirelli PZeros.

Does anyone have PZeros on the TL? Or does anyone know about the differences between each PZero offered? Also, I'm thinking about running slightly wider tires and slightly bigger sidewalls. I currently have the stock o4 TL rims, anyone have a suggested size?----Montreal has probably the worst roads in Canada. It's like a roller-coaster everywhere I go.

i havnt ran either of the tires you mentioned on here, but, i just got some Nitto Neo-Gen's and these tires are so good.
Very quiet, tread wear is good, and if your car is lowered, these tires are the ones you need, they are made for camber wear from what i hear and they also have a lip protector on there so you wont scratch your wheels

Sweet. Thanks a lot. I'll look into the two shops you provided.

Ask them about a 245/40ZR17 if you wanted to go wider in the PZero. The overall diameter is slightly less and it may affect the speedo reading slightly.

I would be asking what caused the tire to do that? Looks like a severe rub given how good the rest of the tread looks. Taking air out of it will only increase heat making it worse.

I disagree. Lowering the air pressure will spread out the load across more of the tire, which will put less stress on that one particular area. However, to the OP, you need to replace those maypops ASAP!

Also, +1 on the Nitto Neo Gens. They have great wear and are not loud at all, even with their agressive tread design.

Looks like the ripping is closer to the shoulder of the tire than the middle. Over-inflating will change the contact patch shape more to the center. Lowering the air pressure will cause the tire to run hotter, as dgracer noted, and will also put more pressure on the shoulder, where the ripping has occurred. In any event, the OP is foolish to drive on these anywhere but to the tire store.

Hi for Summer performance tire try the Yoko S Drive tires, they are fantastic, excellent road holding in wet and dry, very quiet and smooth. you could get them for about $600 for the whole set out of the door with road hazard warranty from American Tire, had them on my TL awesome tires, next set is going to be the same again unless I can afford the Advan S4's. Oh well!!!!
