Need New Tire Suggestions for a 2007 TL-S
I remember reading a post here about changing to a larger tire for better ride and handling. I can't seem to find that post. I think the person went from stock 235/45/17 to a 255/45/17. Can anybody confirm this? Also what would be a good tire for south florida. We don't get any snow so I don't need all season but I do want a tire that is good in the rain for when the monsoon season hits.

245/45-17 is the most popular, although some have gone to a 255/40-17, but his tire is not approved for a 8" wide wheel although some have dismissed the recommendation and have done an install. The following is the diameter of each:
235/45-17 25.32"
245/45-17 25.68"
255/40-17 25.03"
255/45-17 26.03"
Unless an all out performance bvehicle I'd stay with the 245/45-17 and an all seson. A summer tire will provide more grip, but naturally will wear out at a faster rate. Having said that, look at the Michelien Pilot Sport A/S Plus. The Yoko S.4 and the lesss expensive W4S is a great and the widest tread width in the A/S section.
Plenty to choose from and a great deal of opinions.
Good Luck
