Need help with Father Winter!!

I posted this in another thread and no one really replied. I have googled and searched but seems no one else has this problem but me

I have three questions:

I have winter tires off my G35 which is a staggered winter setup (235/50/17(rear), 225/50/17 (front)) fit my stock 17 inch Aluminum TL rims and would it be healthy for the car to do so?

If no,

If i purchase another pair of 235/50/17s or 225/50/17 (which pair would be better?) to get rid of the staggered fit, Would it fit my 2007 Acura TL with no problem, especially in the winter would it be fine?

Right now i have 235/45/17 stock tires on the car..

Third question:
Since the tires i had on my G35 were high performance winter tires (paid 1200$ for tires!!) and if i have to buy another pair of winter tires (if a staggered setup doesn't work) does it have to be the same kind of winter tires or can i pickup a pair of cheaper winter tires and mix em up?

Thanks so much in advance!!

Cheers.

No on the staggered fitment for Winter...besides looking silly on a FWD car and having absolutely no performance/handling benefit, any handling issues that a FWD/staggered set up will cause, will be amplified by slippery Winter conditions. Get yourself a new set of 235/45/17 Winter tires for your OEM wheels on all four corners. There are a lot of great Winter tires out there, you really can't go wrong with most. Make sure that the tire has the snowflake/mountain logo which is the Canadian standard stamp for acceptable Winter tires for our wacky climate up here.

Sell your other set up to recoup some of your investment in proper winter tires/wheels for your TL.

You really should pick up the same tires so all four are matching.

So 225/50/17 would fit and be fine to put on for winter? It would fit the stock rims right? (2007 TL model rims)

07tl-s6spd: I dont want to go the staggered fit either would look weird and the car would probably drive weird aswell.

Thanks for the help you guys. Its suppose to snow here this weekend! Hopefully my summer tires do ok for a bit till i figure this out..
