My very own wheel weight comparo.

I've got these 3 sets of wheels for my TL and decided to post the weights of each of them just in case anyone wants to know. I weighed each wheel and tire combo on a regular bathroom scale and here are the results:

16x6.5" stock wheels w/ 205/60-16 stock Michelins: 39 lbs

17x6.5" stock TL-S wheels w/ 215/50-17 stock Michelins: 47 lbs

18x7" 3-piece SSR GPO Evos w/ 225/40-18 Nittos: 42 lbs

I was surprised to find out that the 17" TLS wheel weighed 5 lbs heavier than my 18" SSR! So I guess having larger diameter wheels doesn't neccessarily mean they are heavier.

Hehe... you know Vincent, those TLS rims look awfully familiar... hope you're enjoying them. Remember how I was asking you on what you think I should do with those stock parts I had leftover? I decided to make a pullup bar out of the rear sway, and a pushup bar out of the front sway. I'll put up some pics later. Still haven't found a use for the stock springs though... .

Send those springs to Suzanne Summers. I'm sure they would make one heluva thigh master!

Here are the pics of what I did with the stock sway bars - it's amazing how well they fit the new application .

Yeah, I don't know either - I'll have to think of something to use it for. Right now I've got all the spare bolts from the airbox inside the resonator, so it's storage for now.
