My tires are bald already....only 12K
I have a 2004 TL and have been reading many horror stories about the tires on this car. I was somewhat late in rotating my tires (around 10K miles). After a long trip, about 1500 miles and a car load of my belongings (I was moving), I noticed my back tires balding. These tires were originally on the front. Anyway, I assumed that this may have been caused by an alignment issue or over inflation. My local dealership said there is nothing wrong with the car and he had no idea what the problem could be.
Im not sure what to think or what my next course of action should be. It would suck to think I have to buy new tires only 7 months after I bought my car (I have 12k miles now). If problems with these tires are so common, why does every acura dealer act like my issues are so odd? They must see these tire issue often. I bought an Acura because I wanted little issues, and 7 months into it, I already have one. Does anyone think that ACS will do any thing for me or am I screwed?
Thanks

Check with your dealer. A few of members have the similar issue. If your dealer cannot find the causes of this, your next tires may have the same issue soon.

If your alignment is good, your tire pressures are correct, and you haven't changed your suspension geometry, consider this a blessing and dump the BS tires for some more reliable rubber. I've heard the BS EL42s typically last 20-25K in regular driving and don't perform well in inclement weather. If you drive hard, you'll have faster wear regardless of what shoes you're wearing.
Personally I'd rather spend a couple of hundred bucks and get better tires than to have Acura put on another set of BS. I consider it a safety issue that's not worth putting me or my family in danger over. Just make sure the suspension is OK.
