My dealership Nitrofill's my tires

Anyone hear about the dealers filling tires with Nitrogen on a regular basis? My dealership has gone over to this method of inflation exclusively and claims that despite the added cost it is very effective here in the upper Midwest where extended cold can cause premature wear from under inflation with just air.

I don't know what to think. They seem very proud to offer this 'exclusive service'

Stale gas issues

When I chose my Ebony on Ebony 08 TL Navi on the lot, it was boxed in and failed to start after sitting for 10 weeks on the lot in temperatures mostly in the teens and single digits. It wouldn't turn over but after falling in love after driving similar TLs and loving this car's color and condition they detailed it and prepped it while I went to coach my son's hockey game.

It seemed to take 3 or 4 tank fills to get her to run like a dream. I added some Red Line fuel treatment and now it seems as if it runs smoother than ever (I've only put 1K of my own miles on it)

I guess my question is- can the rough starts and bad tranny shifts be due to stale gas? Is this a real phenomenon?

"Nitrofill" is nothing special. If its offered for free, then get it, if not, do not pay a dime for it.

I don't think bad tranny shifts will be due to stale gas. Rough starts is a possibility. Run Redline Racing ATF and switch out your 3rd/4th gear sensor/solenoids for improved shifting.

We have a Nitrogen system at work...I had my tires filled with it. Supposedly its supposed to keep your tire's PSI more consistent because nitrogen is less affected by temperature...however, I still see a decent fluctuation in my tire pressure when its cold.
