Moog tie rod compared to OEM tie rod?
I currently purchased a Moog outer tie rod for my 05 Acura TL and I noticed a difference in the length.
Now my question is does there have to be anything done to make it fit properly?

It really doesn't matter once you install it and get an alignment done to zero out the toe. It is designed to be adjustable with a screw. I just had them installed on my 07 Accord V6, which has identical tie rods as the TL.
