There's a new A/S 3 on its way:

Only 28% better snow traction? So now they're admitting the original A/S3's sucked in the snow, huh?
They've got to do a lot better than 28%!

Michelin Tyiz: Overrated and over priced!

I'll take my BFG G-Force Comp 2 A/S's over these any day.

Lol... I was thinking the same thing when I read that. Even a 100% increase in snow traction wouldn't be a big enough bump!

Funny this thread was started. I'm looking for some tires for summer time and have it down to between the Pilot A/S 3's and the BFG G force Comp 2 A/S.
I've always been a Michelin guy (my wife's family have all had 35 year careers with Michelin) but the reviews on the Pilots are dismal for tread wear and light snow/ice. Because of that I'm considering the BFG.

DMZ, how are you finding the BFG so far? I'm going to be using the new tires from about April to November because I have dedicated Michelin X-Ice xi2's for the snow and ice.

So far, I have absolutely NO complaints. Last night, I was out in a snow storm where it didn't really stick on the roads much, but they were slushy as heck. The BFG's did their job and did it well. I felt safe and secured at all speeds with no hydroplaning whatsoever!

That's great. I'm bound to buy tires made by Michelin because my father in law is getting us some coupons (70% off) which means either BFG or Michelins themselves. There seem to be very few HP all seasons in either line up.
