So I've read that the 7th gen accord suspension is interchangeble with the 3G TL. I found a local seller selling a set of Megan EZ street series coils.

My question is, are the spring rates for the accord to soft for the TL?

I typically see coils for 3G TL have 10kg front and 6kg rear. what do you guys think?


specs:

SPRING RATES:
F: 62mm ID; 200mm length; 10 kg/mm
R: 62mm ID; 220mm length; 5 kg/mm

DAMPER SPECS:
F: 115mm stroke; 220mm length; A2 valving code
R: 135mm stroke; 280mm length; A1 valving code

The coilovers will fit, but you might have to get different top hats for the TL.

Personally, I would go for ones made specifically for the TL. The softer springs rates will affect your handling in a negative way. Due to the lower spring rate, it will have more give and give you slightly more body roll compared to ones with the higher spring rate.

If you decide to dump your car all the way on the coilovers, you will bottom out. This is from personal experience.
