Maximum protection for your rims
Being that I'm getting new wheels soon I'm looking into wheel locks. I found a set of Gorilla locks in which every lug is a lock...yes, 5 locks on every wheel.
Is that a good idea? Worst case scenario the thief has the key to every single lock. What I'm wondering is, should I get that set or should I get standard lugs but 2 DIFFERENT sets of wheel locks? One set Gorilla, one set McGard? That way there is 2 different wheels locks on each wheel.
Which brings me to this - will 2 different wheel locks (with different weight) throw off the balance of the whole wheel?
Sorry if this has been brought up before.

Great idea in a way but also bad idea. Everybody knows where the wheel lock key is kept, in the car(glove box, center console, or trunk with spare tools). If a thief have time to break in your car, it's over. So what's the purpose of having locks??? Also what happens if you loose or a shop forgets to put the key back or give it to you after service and days, weeks, or months down the line you get a flat tire. What happens then??? Your F'd big time.

That's why you don't put it in the obvious spot...plus to get into my TL you have to have the key remote or press the button inside. If you want to have expensive rims with no locks then go ahead but I'm not risking it. Rather make it a pain in the ass for someone to steal them rather than "give" them away.
