Massachusetts Wheel Experience
Fellow 3rd Gen TL owners,
I've managed to bend (though still usable) a 17" OEM rim. I now use these rims for winter duty. I'm thinking about getting a new set for summer duty. Most of the 17" aftermarket rims I've seen look dorky, so I've set my sights on some 18" from Edge Racing. My questions are: 1) Will a lighter 18" (lighter than 17" OEM) rim work well with the OEM suspension (as well as VSA)? 2) Will I experience more bent rim episodes (Massachusetts pot holes)?
If the consensus is that I should go for a new set of 18" rims, will the ride be that much firmer than 17" OEM rims (given the same tire brand and type)?
Thanks,
TL-Rocket
