Lowering Options

I am looking to change the suspension on my TL in the near future and am starting to shop around for what I will ultimately replace it with. I am looking for around 1.5" drop. Maybe more if I can find a decent camber kit and my ride quality won't suffer too much. I want to retain a decently smooth ride as well and keep the price reasonable. Any recommendations on the coilovers/springs that would help me achieve this goal?

Would like to hear opinions on this as well. Right now I'm planning on going the A-spec route (MT kit on AT car), but I'm afraid that <1inch drop is going to leave me wanting more. But I don't want to make the sacrifices to go to ~2inches.

There are oodles of threads on most of these products. I've bolded a few that might be best suited to your stated desires.

I addition to researching those specific products, you'll need to browse and/or search for threads. One good way to start is simply browsing the first 3 - 5 pages in this sub-forum (Tires, Wheels, Suspension) for threads on lowering, springs, cloil-overs, etc. TONS of info available.

^^what they said.

lots of info...lots of reading. think about what YOU want out of the suspension: drop (looks), performance, ride quality, is the car tracked, is it a DD, budget, etc. if you're looking for drops...there are a few threads on "show me your drop" and it will show you what others have done and what it looks like, pics are nice, then you have to figure out performance wise if it matches what you want.

mine's a DD and recently dropped aspec suspension into it. love it. i wanted performance first over looks (meaning subtle lowering about that inch to close the wheel gap a little, but not slammed).

good luck.

I recently dropped my car with the Neuspeed Supercup Kit and it looks awesome. I got the look I wanted plus didn't sacrifice too much in the aspect of ride quality. I went through many of the same questions when I was looking and did a ton of research on here.

Shoot me a PM if you want to and I'll be more than happy to answer your questions.
