Lowering
How far can i lower my 04 TL, i have stock suspension and wheels, without rubbing?
I want to just get lowering springs and use my factory struts.
Couldnt find any straightforward answers in the forum
Thanks!

No need to make two threads, but I'll say it again:
H&R Race springs will go the lowest.
It lowers it a couple inches.
I know some members are bound to tell you some additional stuff about ride quality, shock life, etc, but I won't throw those at you since you just wanted a simple answer.

It will not rub with stock rims... but with 180k miles... IF those are the original struts..it will be bound to go out sooner once you install those H&R's..thats just my opinion... good luck

Tokico blues would be good too, but good luck finding them. They've been on national backorder for quite some time now. I recommend looking up reviews of the Koni Yellows and do a little research. You'll see they are actually very popular and have overwhelmingly positive feedback. They really are one of the best performance oriented shocks out there.

By the time you buy springs and a nice set of struts like koni's you are better off getting a full set of coil-overs.
But if you swing the $600 involved for a nice set of shocks and springs while you don't get ride height adjustability you get a ride quality that is top notch.

I'm planning on buying race springs from H&R, what type of shocks should I get?
I was looking at tokico T-HU3800 to slap on my car. What do you Guys think?
I don't want to spend a lot on shocks I just want set that can handle the spring rate of the H&R

I just bought the H&R sport springs for my 2007 Acura TL Type-S.
I used the stock A-Spec shocks that have about 40k miles on them.
I LOVE THEM
I have owned 5- TL's since 2006 and have also installed
TEIN SS & TEIN SA coilovers that are awesome.
Bottom line- For "now" I am very satisfied with
JUST the H&R Sport springs. autoanything.com
NO rubbing with 245/35/19" wheels/tires +35mm offset.
