Lowering a 07 TL-S.. A-Spec Coilovers or Eibach Pro-Kit?

I wanted to drop my TL-S about an inch or so. Its got A-Spec 18s on it so 1 inch should be enough. Acura sells A-Spec coilovers, which are Certified Genuine Acura parts covered by warranty, they lower the car by 1 inch all around, problem is they cost an arm and a leg..

There's also the Eibach Pro-Kit springs, which are like 200 bucks and they lower the car 1 inch all around, but Im worried its gonna make the ride harsh and bumpy, cause the spring rate seems really stiff, I don't want my car bump and rattle to every little ding on the pavement.

Did anyone install either one of these?? How is the ride quality afterwards? I know Eibach springs are usually stiff that's why I'm concerned..

Sorry OP I don't have an answer bu I would like to know this also. I think an inch would be perfect if it doesn't ruin the ride. It's already kinda rough don't want to make it any worse.

Most people find the aspec suspension only lowers the car 1/2-3/4 of a inch. The aspec are not coilovers, in the sence that they are not adjustable. I have heard the Eibach springs ride smooth but they will end up accelerating wear on your stock shocks.

Thanks man. I've searched a little and it seems you can't just get the springs. Maybe I'll find them in BM.

I'd wager that the stock shocks will last almost as long, if not as long, with the eibachs as with the stock springs. 1" isn't that much of a drop to accelerate shock wear.

I have the Eibachs and love them (3rd car that I've had with Eibachs, also getting a set of Eibach springs for my sportbike) I ran them for over a year with the stock shocks before installing Koni Sports and had no issues.

I'm using the KW Variant 1 coilover kit. I love the fact that i can adjust the height to my taste and the ride quality is definitely firmer yet still comfortable. It cruises real smooth on the highway. I highly recommend it.

Do you need a camber kit with those coilovers?
