Looking for new Tires and place to fix Rims in the Saint Louis Area
I just went to Frank Leta service today, and this is what they told me,
"R/F Tire has cords showing and L/R tire has 3/32 Wear Remaing"
plus apparently "R/F" wheel is bent....
what is R/F and L/R? Right Front, Left Rear? now, i heard about some place called
"http://www.hubcap-wheelstore.com/About.htm" hubcap and wheel store out in St. Charles Rock Rd....
so :
1) has anyone heard of this place? and is it reliable? (I've already replaced so many A-spec rims, if this is an affordable method of fixing my rims instead of buying new ones all the time, I am definately for this..)
2) I'm guessing I need new tires, and I've look at a few,
so far I see the Falken Ziex ZE-512 (W rated/235/40ZR-18 95W REIN) for 110.00
or Kumho Ecsta ASX (Z speed rate 235/40R-18 95W BSW) 117.00
or Kumho Ecsta SPT (Z speed rate 235/40R-18 95Y XL B) 118.00
or do you guys have any better suggestions or places to buy them?
and if you're from the saint Louis area, I'd love to check out your 3G TL and get some advice to where I should get this done.

I am a Leta TL owner who recently relocated to Dallas. The shop you mentioned on the Rock Road is good and should be much less than replacing the rim; they have / sell tires as well I think. I have read many favorable reviews on the Falken Ziex ZE-512's, but nothing on the Kumho's.

I am from st. louis and the hubcap and wheel store is pretty good. you might want to also try zisser tire on west florissant and chambers that is where i picked up my wheels. Try tires.com or ebay if you want a deal on tires i use both and have came out with a good deal.

thanks for the advice guys!! uhh...so i admit i am a bit of a noob..but if i buy my tires and rims, where would i go to get it fitted? rims i'm pretty sure i can do myself, but getting to rubber to fit snug, so to speak, is pretty hard...
...at any rate, thanks for the advice, this Acura forum is totally kick ass!!
i think i'm just gonna goto the hubcap and wheels store, possibly with Terminex too!!
another thing, are our current tires W rated? i only ask because, for example, I drive to Chicago with the girl for Thanksgiving and Spring breaks, and going down that interstate road, i tend to drive 115+ (believe it or not, I've actually hit 145-155+ on the TL) ~ i know this is retarded conditions for the tires, but I can't help it, there's too much road to tempt me.
so my question would be, since I drive pretty hard, would getting higher rated tires be better or worse? honestly i go thru the AVS A-spec tires in like 4-5 months.
btw has anyone else heard of the Kumho tires? just wondering

I am not sure I have not had the stock rims on for a while i will have to check if they are w rated. Either way if you have to buy new wheels try some online sites. You can go to Zisser tire to have them fitted I think they charge like 60-80 bucks.
