Need your help fellas. I'm in the market for 18" Volk TE37 SL and need help with brembo clearance for the TL-S along with tires.

Here it is:

18x9 +45 - from research these should clear without a problem but may not be as concave

My questions are:
  1. Will 18x9.5 +40, +35, or +22 offsets clear? Correct me if I'm wrong: the lower the offset the deeper the concavity for these wheels.
  1. Will 18x9.5 poke? And will a 245 tire with a max stretch of 9.5" fit without requiring fender rolling?

Cheers!

my advice: offsets don't matter as much as the design of the wheel. some +30 fit, some don't.

your 18x9 +45 will most likely NOT clear brembos...EDIT: I think accuratein ran 18x9.5 +43 but i don't know if he had spacers or not

+22 will generally clear, the others depends on the wheel design

9.5 will poke if the offset is a lower number than 40 (point of reference...mine is flush and i have 18x9 +32)

9.5 and a 245 will need rolled fenders at a minimum (maybe also a camber kit for more camber or pulled fenders) if you're dropped

picking the right wheel to have the right fitment and stance takes lots of research...it took me a few months to figure out my current set and my last set of wheels

^^^Damn just when I start thinking I'm beginning to understand offsets.

So a lower + offset has a higher chance of clearing than higher + offset? I would have thought the opposite.

Seems I have to go back to the drawing board. My rear alignment is out of wack and one tire starting to show cords through the rubber.

Adding a very similar looking wheel to the CE28:

Rays Engineering A34 19x8.5 +35et (19lbs). Clears Brembos with PLENTY of room.

So for TL-S with brembos, the Volk TE37 SL in 18x9.5 with decent concavity is only attainable with the currently available +22 offset. I'm still looking into the +35 offset but from initial pics it appears more on the flat side.

Members who have ran similar specs are correct in that it will cause poke. Depending on lowering amount and tires, it will likely require fender work in the front and rear with aggressive tire stretch. Going with a staggered setup will allow for concavity in rear.

Trying to talk myself into 19" TE37 ultras in matte blue...

I have a set of Sparco Crimson 17x8 et38 and they clear the RL calipers on my 7th gen Accord. Just needed 90° tire valve.

so they will clear the brembo as well !

I just purchased a 2008 TL Type S with aftermarket rims already installed. From the pics, they appear to be Drag DR31 ( http://www.dragwheels.com/product.php?id=166 ). The previous owner installed factory size tires, but unfortunately I don't know the specs of the wheels (I assume 17x8, and probably +47, since it's closer to the OEM than the +35 option, but can't say for sure). I can measure them and update once I take them off. Added to the "no offsets" list below, pics here: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet .

Does anyone know if the Enkei RS05RR wheel 18x10 wheels fit over the Brembo's? Specifically the 22mm offset.

Enkei RPF1 17x9 +22

Just got these put on my TypeS. Enkei RPF1 17x9 +22 with 255/40 r17 tires on them. Huge improvement over the base wheels and worn tires I had before. Posting in case anyone is looking for pics with wide tires.

These Enkei wheels easily clear the Brembo calipers:

Enkei TX5 17x9” +45 (20 lbs) (TX5 | Enkei Wheels)
Enkei TS9 18x8.5” +35 (21 lbs) (TS9 | Enkei Wheels)

Not exactly light, but lighter than stock. Sorry, no pics.

If anyone has a definitive yes/no on the Enkei RPF1, 17x9 +45, it would be greatly appreciated. I want to get a set for track use.

Wheel: Enkei RC-T4
Size: 18x9 +35
Weight: 19.6 lbs

Easily clear Brembos and don't rub anywhere even with 245/40/18s.

Another Enkei wheel that easily clears the Brembo calipers:

Enkei TS-10 17x9” +45 (19 lbs) (TS-10 | Enkei Wheels)

Volk Racing TE37 Saga, 17x8.5 +45 clears the calipers, but with only 0.5mm of clearance. Technically they clear, but that's not enough clearance, so I would say no go.
This wheel will work with at least a 3mm spacer but a 5mm spacer would be ideal. On a TL, the 5mm spacer would work great, but for those with a TSX with TL knuckles (like me)
then it really depends on how wide the tires are, but you likely will have to do some fender rolling. Below pics are with a 255/40R17 tire.

What do you mean they won't clear the Brembos? All 2004-2006 TLs came with the same wheels regardless of whether they had Brembo brakes or not.

Here is a picture of them on my car:
