Post Legend wheels fit?

...the ones on the top-of-line Legend (GS?) of the last year or so of production? I think they may have been optional - I'll try to find a pic and come back and post it.

They are five-spoke, look to be 16" and are five-bolt. They resemble the AMG Monoblock wheels for AMG Benzes, with a deep dish and wide spokes. I like 'em, obviously.

Digging through legend.org I found the following, which is a little hard to swallow (but what do I know):

"All 2nd Generation Acura Legends have stock wheels (either 15" or 16") with a 65mm offset. Offset determines how far the wheels stick out from the car. The smaller the offset, the more the wheels stick out. Unfortunately wheel companies rarely have an application with such a high offset. So it's recommended you get at least a +42mm if not a +48mm offset. Anything else might require rolling the fenders if you experience any rubbing of the tire against the fender well. Bolt pattern for the 1st generation is 114.3mm x 4 while the 2nd generation sports a 114.3mm x 5 pattern."

Being a Legend owner with those exact rims, I can say Legend.org is correct. Here is the deal. Those rims often called the GS rims were first available as standard on the 1993 LS Coupe Legend. Later, in 1994-95, the Sedan got a new line called the GS with those rims as standard. The 94-95 LS Coupes still got those as they did in 1993. Ironically, Legend owners call these rims the GS rims, even though it was first available on the LS Coupes 1 year earlier. A GS Sedan is the exact same thing as a LS Coupe, only with 4 doors. Anyway, as to the info on the rims. ALL 91-95 Legend rims a 6/12" wide in both 15" and the 16" so called GS rims pictured above. ALL have offsets of +65mm. Also, and very importend, the Legend center hub is 70mm's, apposed to the 64mm of the CL/TL/Accord. The only other Honda/Acura with a 70mm hub is the front wheels on the NSX. The NSX rear is also 64mm. Anyway, the Legend has the same 5X114.3 bolt pattern, so it will botll right up, only trouble is being that it has a larger center hub bore, the rims will not be hub centric on the CL/TL/Accord. If that is not a problem for you, then you can use those 16" Legend rims, which are hard to get by the way. A friend of mine who owned a 95 Legend with those rims put those 16" rims on his 98 Accord when he got aftermarket rims, and had no problems. I have a 17X7 with a + 46mm offset, and that is a borderline fit. Therefore, the recomended +48- +50mm offset for the Legend is right on Anything else and it will start to stick out of the fender given a stock ride hieght. Of course, the lower the car, the more negetive camber, the better the tuck, and the lower the offset you can use. I have a 2" drop, and corercted camber to about negetive .5- .8, and my +46 just tucks in the fender, but barely.

Keep in mind, Legend owners are still paying about $600-$800 for mint used GS rims. AAA rims are selling refubished ones for $265 each. The dealers, if they have them are selling them for around $300+ each, and used to sell them for $600 each before. Are they worth it? Problably not, and I have a set. But it is a very hard to find, and pretty nice looking stock rim

Thanks, Chris - I guess I'll put to rest my notion of getting a cheap set to slap on my TL.
